Grant Opportunity: NEA Access to Artistic Excellence

The National Endowment for the Arts has opened the Access to Artistic Excellence grant competion. Awards range from $5,000 to $150,000 and applications are due August 12. Everyone and their dog is eligible to apply, well not really, but eligible applicants do include:

• State governments
• County governments
• City or township governments
• Special district governments
• Independent school districts
• Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
• Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
• Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
• Private institutions of higher education
